Due to the great success of our previous seminars we plan to organise a seminar again this year.
The aim of the Woollam Introduction Seminar is, beside a short introduction in ellipsometry, to show the present status of applications and research. With sample measurements we will demonstrate the power of the Woollam spectroscopic ellipsometers.
With the increasing need to characterise multilayer and multicompound systems in the last few years the areas where spectroscopic ellipsometry is used are permanently growing.
This technique allows very sensitive measurement of film thickness, optical constants, composition, surface and interface roughness and many more. Nowadays it is not only a tool for research and you will recognise an increase of applications close to the production. This requirement had been address by the development of several in-situ solutions for process monitoring and control. During the seminar beside presenting the well-established systems like VASE, M-2000, Alpha-SE, we will also show latest developments to address the requirements of photovoltaic applications. Systems will be available to demonstrate sample measurements.
Mrs. Neah Singh, applications engineer at Woollam Co., will give lectures and will be available for discussions.

Introductory seminar: 15th October 2012 (not for users *)
*) The introductory seminar is considered for participants without any ellipsometry experience. Due to the huge interest last year, and the limitation of registrations we ask ellipsometer users not to register for this seminar.
The number of participants of each seminar is limited to 30 persons.
After receiving your registration we will shortly send you a confirmation including the program and a description of how to reach the hotel.
All seminar expenses including lunch will be covered by L.O.T.-Oriel.
The seminar will start at 9 o’ clock and will end at around 17:00.
Travel and hotel expenses are to be paid by the participants. Please make your own hotel reservations.
